Girl On The Early News Hope Is It Ever Gonna Rain? Luckenbach North Of Baton Rouge Texas Is An Only Child
Bob is an Emmy winning songwriter, Kerrrville and Napa Valley festival winner with 8 commercial CDs two of which were Euro top 10 and the most recent, "Tall Texas Tales", was US Americana #28. Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings have recorded his songs. When he died, Elvis had a song of Bob's on his "to do" list. Having written over 3,000 songs with some of them on TV and in movies, Bob has toured Europe relentlessly the past 10 years doing 40-60 concerts per tour and has been a music biz professional since the late 60's during his top-40-charting pop career in LA, being the voice on the TV theme "Love American Style" and having played gigs in just about every state in the US. In addition to his 1999 "Gettysburg To Graceland" CD being Americana top 20, one of the results of that record was the opening spot on what was to be Johnny Cash's final tour. Bob grew up in Memphis and got a soul full of music not only from the icons of his youth such as Elvis and Johnny Cash but also from his mother who was a radio star in the 20's-30's during the big band erA. From an early age, his feet were firmly planted in Mississippi Delta Mud, and his songs began to feature characters whose lives reflected the life style along the rivers of the south over the past 100 years. Having spent 16 years as a journeyman writer in Nashville's music scene, he now lives in Austin fine tuning his musical voice spinning rootsy, blues-flavored tales of life in a conversational language of the heart.

3-WE ARE ALL NAKED (Inbred Records) Originally conceived as a guitar/vocal record for the UK fans, this group of songs features the naked truth about life and love and was recorded in my living room with a few of my famous friends. Its the most personal and honest of my CDs to date. $15.00
4-SNAPSHOTS (Inbred Records) Features 3 songs from each of the last 4 CDs plus two unreleased tracks. $15.00
5-ONE MAN ONE MARTIN (Inbred Records) A dozen songs recorded with just my voice and my old black Martin guitar. After all...I am a singer/songwriter.

CHEEVERSONGS ARCHIVE SERIES An 8-CD Special Edition Series (available only by special order from bobcheevers.com) compiled from master recordings over the last 20 years, each CD has songs that follow the title theme. Finding the common denominators that hold each CD together was like assembling a poetic puzzel...a musical Rubicks Cube.
MY SOUTHERN HEART ...This double CD set contains Civil War/Southern songs with characters in them whose lives were touched by The War or who knew the conflicts and joys of living in The South. $15.00
CAST OF CHARACTERS...Profiles the imaginary lives of make-beleive characters. Its often confusing where my life leaves off and the lives of my characters begin. $10.00
MAKING UP TRUE STORIES...Chaseing the tail of my muse, the lines continue to blur between the way the world looks thru my eyes and these tales I spin into yarns that often become songs. $10.00
HARVEST TIME...Feelings of hope, doubt, beleif, longing and faith fill the hearts of this group. These songs harvest some secrets ploughed under by the winds of change and the sands of time...Harvest Time. $10.00
12 SONGS YOULL NEVER HEAR ON RADIO...Songs dealing with crossdressers, barnyard romance, nut cases on rooftops with rifles, ex-wives, wild pygmies in the jungle and Tammy Faye Baker. $10.00
REGARDS TO NASHVILLE...Stuck in the middle of being too country for LA and not country enough for Nashville, these are some of my favorites from the period when all that seemed to matter. $10.00
THE REAL THING...Absolutely true love stories with honest feelings about real people....love in the early stages when the comittment was strong and hearts seem perfectly in sinque...moments in time. $10.00
WHEN THE MUSIC ENDS...If The Real Thing is the Ying, then these songs are the Yang. As opposed to representing the powerful locomotive of feelings that pull a love affair along, these are musical tributes to the caboose...the end of love affiars. $10.00

Blurbs for Tall Texas Tales:
''Bob Cheevers is one cool scarecrow gypsy poet who writes and sings the romantic beautiful truth. When he releases a record, I listen.''
Ray Wylie Hubbard
This time my friend Bob turns his eagle eye on Texas, and turns in a beautiful collection of expertly produced pieces of life down here. Well done bro. This thing kicks ass,
"Bob Cheevers is an American treasure and a true tunesmith-troubadour. His new album defines his spirit and is a wonderful addition to any Americana playlist"
Rick Star...President...Homegrown Americana Radio Consulting
Bob Cheevers came to Austin quite recently, but he's already familiar with the map of Texas. Tall Texas Tales is filled with colorful stories and vivid settings. The album is a proof
of a passion for storytelling that's usually only shown by local veterans. The album feels like a fresh new start.
Gert-Ove Fridlund - Hallandsposten Magazine
What a pleasure to hear about Texas thru the words of Bob Cheevers... brilliant, believable artist and total entertainer.
